Standard Job Description

You will be the Manufacturing Planner for the Manufacturing Planning Team. Our team is responsible for manufacturing planning, BOM management, and inventory optimization.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Planner you will be responsible for driving Make, Buy, and Bill of Material planning activities, ensuring production system integrity, and optimizing material flow across the supply chain.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Execute Make, Buy, and BOM planning for MRP transactions.
* Maintain production system integrity and optimize inventory to minimize cost.
* Coordinate shop‑floor control with manufacturing and Operations Management.
* Collaborate with Supply Chain stakeholders to align procurement and production schedules.
* Manage MRP parameters, lead times, lot sizes, and BOM changes.

Basic Qualifications

ERP/MRP expertise – hands‑on experience with SAP, Excel capabilities for data manipulation and reporting.

Lean & Six Sigma familiarity – understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts, Six Sigma tools, and continuous‑improvement practices to enhance process efficiency.

Analytical & problem‑solving skills – ability to dissect complex issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and develop data‑driven solutions.

Detail‑oriented Microsoft Office proficiency – high accuracy in documentation, strong command of Office suite, and excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.

Desired Skills

ERP/MRP tools proficiency – hands‑on experience with SAP PP/WM (or equivalent).

Strong computer skills – Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA/macros) and solid working knowledge of other MS Office applications.
Effective written and verbal communication – convey complex information clearly to leadership, peers, and external customers.

Stakeholder collaboration – work seamlessly with multiple management levels, industry partners, and internal/external customers to align priorities and resolve constraints.

Process‑improvement expertise – Green Belt certification (Six Sigma) demonstrating ability to lead continuous‑improvement and cross‑functional projects.

Analytical problem‑solving – quickly diagnose bottlenecks, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

* Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $74900.00 - $139100.00
* Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
* Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $67400.00 - $125200.00
* Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
* Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $59900.00 - $111300.00
* Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
* Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $53900.00 - $100100.00
* Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.
