Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineering Technician responsible for handling mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software control systems. This role involves set-up, start-up, inspection, and adjustments on machine systems to ensure optimal performance. Responsibilities

- Set up, start up, inspect, and adjust mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software control systems on machine systems.
- Document and compile data required during and after the inspection process for both customer and company.
- Operate and maintain instrumentation for analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of machine issues, including completing machine vibration analysis and reports.
- Load and download software to enable machine control systems to perform required functions for grinding cycles.
- Perform machine capability studies and program data collection systems to analyze data effectively.
- Verify, edit, troubleshoot, repair, and adjust electronic control systems for machine operations.
- Direct assembly floor technicians on machine start-up, setup, qualification, and quality documentation resolutions.
- Provide technical assistance for setup technicians in preparing the machine for grinding.
- Utilize statistical data knowledge to set up grinding machines to meet customer specifications and provide recommendations to achieve desired results.
- Work in conjunction with mechanical and control engineers in designing machine operations and meeting customer requirements.
- Interface with customer personnel both in-house and at customer plants.
- Educate customers and employees on instrumentation as required.
- Assist in managing and participating in special or developmental projects under manufacturing management.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent the department as an industry leader.
- Understand and practice appropriate safety procedures and support safety programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

- Proficient in engineering, troubleshooting, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience with centerless grinding.
- GMP knowledge and at least a Six Sigma White Belt certification.
- Knowledgeable of CNC machines with servo drives, motors, and PLC troubleshooting and control.
- Minimum of an associate degree in engineering or electronics or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in troubleshooting or programming CNC grinders, lathes, or mills.
- Analytical ability to develop structured approaches and select design components.
- Working knowledge of computer systems and application to machine controls.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations for installation, service, demonstrations, and training as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate accountability.

Work Environment This is a full-time position, requiring availability five days per week, with occasional travel as needed. The role may require overtime and working on 'off-shifts' based on business needs. Employees have the opportunity to live locally in Hagerstown for a year, after which there is flexibility to reside anywhere in the United States.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
