What does this role look like?
Space Engineering & Technology (E&T) is seeking a strategic leader with mission operations domain expertise and previous experience leading both functional organizations and strategic initiatives. The selected candidate must have a passion for talent development and creating strategies to hire and retain talent.
This role will offer you the following daily challenges:
The Mission Operations & Space Services (MOSS) director will lead a team of approximately 1000 engineers and operators who provide 24X7 operations, telemetry trending, command & control, satellite calibration, mission planning, scheduling and processing, anomaly resolution and on-orbit operations/analysis at geographically dispersed facilities. The MOSS Director will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy that enables strong program performance, workforce solutioning, Line of Business partnership, incorporation of next generation technologies, and transformation initiatives.
Approximately 20% travel is required.
Basic Qualifications
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
* Expertise with mission operations concepts and customers.
* Full Spectrum and Strategic Leader who can build high performing teams through empowerment and scaling the organization.
* Experience creating and leading transformation projects, strategic initiatives and inspiring change.
* Experience with workforce solutioning (hiring, retention, redeployment) and developing workforce strategies.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing Talent Development initiatives.
* Experience partnering across organizations (LOBs, MFOs, BAs).
* Demonstrated ability to influence reuse, process improvement, and identification of tools and modern practices.
* Proven ability to successfully lead a team across dispersed organizations and geographical locations.
* Demonstrated leadership skills in establishing / managing budget, schedule, and metrics.
* Related STEM Degree and experience.
* You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US TOP SECRET/SCI clearance,to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified info

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $180000.00 - $325000.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
