About this role
The Document Controller is responsible for overseeing and maintaining accuracy within the engineering change management and document control processes. This role manages engineering change activities and associated documentation within the designated Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages engineering change process; distributes and monitors associated documents.
- Reviews, tracks, distributes and change orders using associated business and interacting processes within the PLM
- Maintains and communicates potential change issues on proposed changes
- Prepare and present reports that track the change control program against driving KPIs.
- Reviews and tracks Correspondence, Change Requests as these items relate to engineering change control management.
- Assists in solving problems and confers with stakeholders, to change management service regarding change management requirements and standards.
- Audit Change Orders for completion and accuracy from PLM and provide feedback to appropriate stakeholders for issues identified.
- Provide support to other functional areas to educate and train on basic PLM and ERP system functionality and workflow relative to engineering change management.
- Completes Quality Checks in PLM system basic document structuring of parent/child relationships, attachments and approvals.
- May Create document and part objects in the PLM systems
- Support of and interaction with internal PLM system users and change originators
- Assists with the generation of part master records and electronic documents and works to resolve engineering issues regarding part master records.
- Supports change and maintenance of part master records and documents.
- Perform all other responsibilities and duties as requested.
Requirements :
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Information Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in document control, engineering change control, PLM, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing, semiconductor, precision engineering, electronics, or other technology-driven industry experience is preferred.
- Experience with Agile PLM or other PLM/ERP systems is an advantage
