We are looking for a Pricing or Portfolio Analyst on a permanent basis to join our Delegated Authority team with a specific focus on helping to deliver profitable growth across our International Property portfolio. The portfolio contains a diverse group of products, primarily small commercial and homeowners with numerous niche or stand-alone coverages. In this role you will play a key part in developing and maintaining reporting tools, analysing and optimising each of our products and communicating your insights to the remainder of the Underwriting team. This is a collaborative position where your analytical skills and ability to communicate complex findings will help shape the future of our products and support QBE’s commitment to excellence and market leadership. The successful applicant will sit within the Underwriting team itself and have direct exposure to front line decisions made as result of their findings.

Your new role:

- Analyse performance metrics for the portfolio and individual products to ensure alignment with business objectives and strategic plans.
- Conduct detailed segmental analysis to identify key performance drivers, uncover opportunities for growth and highlight potential risks within each product.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to gather data, agree on analytical approaches, communicate findings and provide actionable recommendations.
- Take ownership of maintenance and development of reporting tools within the immediate area of the business.
- Utilise advanced data manipulation tools to generate new insights, share findings through dashboards and ad-hoc reports to inform decision-making.
- Ensure full compliance with QBE’s standards, processes, policies and uphold relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

About you:

- Experience in analysing and interpreting large, complex datasets to inform business decisions.
- Experience working in the insurance sector is a preferable, ideally with exposure to pricing or data analytics relative to property.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels, both directly and indirectly.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python and Alteryx with capability to create insightful reports and dashboards.
- Collaborative mindset, ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse business areas to achieve shared objectives.
