Prysmian Australia are currently looking for a HR Business Partner, Dee Why/Newington (multi-site).
HR Business Partner is an important business partnering role that support and advise leaders based on in-depth understanding of the operational priorities, business strategy, workforce needs and desired culture. With experience working in fast-paced, production floor-intense environments, this role provides the necessary people tools, policies, programs and guidance to develop leaders, engage the team, manage risk and lift performance.
Main Responsibilities in the role:
- Coach team leaders in effective recruitment, performance management, team feedback and coaching, and handling of industrial relations issues, disciplinary and grievance processes (including investigations as required)
- Lead implementation of cyclical people management processes (e.g. annual remuneration reviews, performance planning and reviews, onboarding, offboarding, etc.) to optimise rigour and impact
- Identify and track relevant people metrics to gauge health of designated areas and identify corrective actions
- Develop and maintain positive Employee stakeholder group relationships including, Union and site Representative Committee collaboration
- Lead people components of major organisational change (e.g. automation) to deliver growth and efficiencies in designated BU/Functions
- Identify, design and deliver specific interventions to enhance performance, reduce risk, and deliver desired business change and cultural outcomes
- Participate and contribute to the debate on people impacts of business decision-making for designated areas, helping to ensure company goals and team member interests are both addressed
We are looking for the following experience and qualifications:
• Experience working as HR Business partner to a Plant Manager providing generalist advice and support
• Experience handling a portfolio of operational/tactical HR responsibilities, and partnering with operational (e.g. production floor) and functional (e.g. Finance, IT, etc) business areas
• Knowledge and design of HR systems, policies, practices and emerging trends and technology solutions
• In-depth knowledge of Employment law including interpreting Awards and negotiating Enterprise Agreements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HR, Business or Organisational Development or related discipline
• Specialised training in HR domains, including some or all of: industrial relations, total rewards, organisational design, workforce planning, recruitment, leadership and talent management, culture and change management
• Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organisations
This is a dynamic role with a large amount of autonomy to make decisions within certain guidelines. You will report to Oceania Senior HR Business Partner and be part of a APAC regional HR community.
