About this role
Our purpose is to help students deepen their conversion to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, to qualify for the blessings of the temple, to prepare for missionary and Church service, and to build the kingdom of God. Church Schools provide students with an opportunity to obtain knowledge and skills that will assist them in their future educational and career endeavours.
- Bachelor’s degree, teaching certificate/license or equivalent
- Basic knowledge and understanding and skills related to the principles and practices of teaching and learning
- Competent ability to use a wide variety of skills and techniques to manage a classroom
- Must be able walk, stand and move around the classroom to effectively supervise, instruct and support students
- Works well with youth and can display genuine empathy towards individuals with a commitment to understanding their challenges
- Aligns with the direction and policies of the Church Board of Education and Seminaries and Institutes (S&I) leadership and meet (S&I) conditions for employment
- Basic ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
- Maintains temple worthiness standards
- Proof of legal right to work in Tonga
- Police clearance is required
