About this role
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced B2B sales professional who
can personally generate results while helping less-experienced salespeople
improve.
You will contact founders and senior decision-makers,
understand their business and technology challenges, qualify opportunities, and
book discovery or system-review meetings. You will also train junior sales
representatives, review their performance, and ensure the team follows a
consistent sales and CRM process.
This is a hands-on role. The successful candidate must be
comfortable making outbound calls every day, managing follow-ups, maintaining
accurate CRM records, and coaching others by example.
Responsibilities
· Make outbound calls to UK and international
business prospects.
· Engage founders, directors, and other senior
decision-makers.
· Use consultative questions to identify
operational, technology, process, and support requirements.
· Qualify prospects based on their needs,
authority, urgency, and suitability.
· Book qualified discovery and system-review
meetings.
· Handle common objections professionally and
confidently.
· Complete follow-up calls, emails, and other
assigned sales activities on time.
· Maintain complete and accurate lead records in
the CRM.
· Record call outcomes, notes, qualification
details, and agreed next actions.
· Progress leads through the company’s approved
sales process.
· Train new and junior sales representatives.
· Review calls and provide practical coaching on
questioning, listening, objection handling, and closing.
· Monitor CRM discipline and follow-up performance
across the team.
· Help improve call scripts, qualification
questions, sales messages, and training materials.
· Produce clear weekly reports covering activity,
conversations, meetings, conversions, and coaching.
· Follow data-protection, consent, opt-out, and Do
Not Contact requirements.
Requirements
Required Experience
· At least four years of B2B outbound sales or
business-development experience.
· A strong record of booking qualified meetings
with senior decision-makers.
· Experience selling technology, SaaS, consulting,
professional services, or business solutions.
· Previous responsibility for training, coaching,
or supervising salespeople.
· Excellent spoken and written English.
· A confident, professional telephone manner.
· Strong consultative selling and
objection-handling skills.
· Excellent organisation and follow-up discipline.
· Experience using a CRM to manage leads, calls,
notes, tasks, and opportunities.
· Ability to work independently and take
responsibility for results.
· Reliable internet, a quiet working environment,
and suitable calling equipment.
Preferred Experience
· Experience selling to UK organisations.
· Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Zoho CRM
or Salesforce.
· Experience with sales cadences, lead-enrichment
platforms, and structured outbound campaigns.
· Understanding of business systems, automation,
integrations, data quality, or operational improvement.
· Experience listening to recorded calls and
delivering structured coaching.
· Previous experience helping to build or improve
a sales process.
What Success Looks Like
· Consistently completing scheduled calls and
follow-ups.
· Having meaningful conversations with qualified
decision-makers.
· Booking meetings that meet the agreed
qualification standard.
· Maintaining complete and reliable CRM records.
· Improving conversion rates across the sales
process.
· Helping junior salespeople become more confident
and effective.
· Providing accurate forecasts and performance
reports.
· Representing the company professionally in every
interaction.
First 90 Days
During your first 90 days, you will be expected to:
· Learn our services, customers, qualification
criteria, and sales process.
· Begin making outbound calls and booking
qualified meetings.
· Demonstrate accurate and consistent use of our
CRM.
· Review junior representatives’ calls and provide
structured feedback.
· Introduce a practical coaching routine for the
sales team.
· Identify improvements to our scripts, follow-up
process, and reporting.
· Demonstrate measurable improvement in both
personal and team performance.
Candidate Profile
You are likely to succeed in this role if you are:
· Commercially aware and naturally curious about
how businesses operate.
· Comfortable speaking with senior business
leaders.
· Able to listen carefully instead of delivering a
rigid sales pitch.
· Resilient without being aggressive.
· Structured, dependable, and disciplined about
follow-up.
· Patient and constructive when training
less-experienced colleagues.
· Willing to be measured on both personal results
and team improvement.
