The Tax Graduate Program – Law Track offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates to launch their careers through hands-on experience in tax planning, legal research, strategic transactions, and the broader U.S. tax lifecycle.
Successful applicants will join the program in 2027 and become part of a collaborative, fast-paced tax organization, gaining exposure to a variety of tax matters across multiple business entities.
This role is ideal for candidates who are interested in applying their legal education and analytical skills to complex tax matters while developing a strong understanding of the business and financial considerations that influence tax decisions.

This role operates within a dynamic and collaborative tax environment focused on tax planning, strategic transactions, and evolving tax laws and regulations. The successful candidate will gain exposure to tax research, business transactions, compliance, financial reporting, and indirect tax, while developing an understanding of how tax considerations impact broader business and financial outcomes. Strong collaboration across multiple functions is essential, as the role regularly partners with Tax, Finance, Legal, and other business teams.
As a Tax Graduate within the Law Track, you will:
- Support tax planning and advisory activities for U.S. affiliates across multiple business lines.
- Conduct tax research and summarize technical considerations to support planning initiatives and business decisions.
- Assist with tax analysis for acquisitions, dispositions, internal reorganizations, and other strategic transactions.
- Monitor U.S. federal, state, and relevant international tax law and regulatory developments.
- Participate in rotations across Tax Planning, Compliance/Provision, and Indirect Tax to gain exposure to the full tax lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Tax, Finance, Legal, and external advisors while managing multiple priorities and deliverables.
Job Dimensions:
- Supports tax planning activities for U.S. affiliates across multiple business lines, including transactions and strategic initiatives
- Exposure to the full tax lifecycle through rotations in Planning, Compliance/Provision (returns and financial reporting), and Indirect Tax
- Involved in supporting analysis linking tax structuring decisions to financial outcomes (ETR, deferred taxes) and operational tax impacts
- Operates in a cross-functional environment with Tax, Finance, and Legal teams across multiple concurrent priorities
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Tax Planning team in delivering tax advisory services to U.S. affiliates across all business lines within a multi-energy environment
- Contribute to tax research by gathering information, summarizing technical considerations, and organizing outputs for review
- Assist in preparing inputs and supporting analysis for internal reorganizations, acquisitions, dispositions, and other strategic transactions
- Support the development of tax analysis materials, including structure decks and related documentation
- Participate in planning discussions to develop understanding of tax-efficient structures and underlying financial considerations
- Monitor and summarize changes in U.S. federal, state, and relevant international tax laws and regulatory developments
- Assist in reviewing and organizing transaction documentation and coordinating inputs with internal legal teams and external advisors
- Support planning initiatives through data gathering and validation of assumptions impacting U.S. affiliates and overall tax outcomes
- Identify data inconsistencies and potential risks, and escalate appropriately to team members
- Contribute to coordination with external tax advisors and support internal knowledge sharing
- Participate in structured rotations within the Tax function, including:
- Supporting compliance and provision activities to understand tax return reporting and financial statement impacts (including ETR and deferred taxes)
- Supporting indirect tax activities to understand above-the-line taxes and operational impacts on the business
- Assist in connecting planning activities to tax reporting and financial statement outcomes
- Manage multiple workstreams with varying timelines, maintaining organization, responsiveness, and attention to detail

Accountabilities:
- Contribute to the delivery of tax planning support for U.S. affiliates across all business lines
- Support tax planning activities related to transactions, reorganizations, and strategic initiatives
- Contribute to tax legislation monitoring and supporting analysis used in planning activities
- Support the integration of tax planning with compliance, financial reporting, and indirect tax considerations through rotational exposure
- Collaborate effectively across Tax, Finance, Legal, and external advisors to support alignment and delivery of key priorities
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Data Analytics; master's degree in taxation strongly preferred.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) required. Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation preferred
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret technical tax concepts and synthesize clear, structured conclusions
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with numerical data, including ability to organize, analyze, and validate data sets
- Ability to connect tax considerations to business, financial, and operational outcomes, avoiding analysis in a purely technical vacuum
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in an understandable manner
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all deliverables
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proactive approach, including willingness to ask questions, identify issues, and follow through on assigned work
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across Tax, Finance, Legal, and business teams
- Strong organizational skills and ability to structure workstreams, timelines, and deliverables
