Job requirements
Experience Range: 1 to 3 years of experience, including hands-on expertise in Python scripting and mobile application test automation for both iOS and Android platforms Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms using Python and Appium
- Build and enhance regression automation suites to ensure comprehensive coverage of critical mobile functionalities
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to streamline testing and enable rapid deployment cycles
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and optimize quality processes
- Execute automated and manual tests, analyze test results, and identify defects to ensure high-quality releases
- Utilize tools such as Postman, SoapUI, and Zephyr to manage test data, validate APIs, and track testing progress
- Implement Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies to improve test effectiveness and maintainability
- Troubleshoot automation failures, optimize test scripts, and provide actionable feedback to enhance system performance Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Python scripting for test automation
- Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile test automation
- Experience in automating tests for iOS and Android applications
- Regression suite development and maintenance
- Integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- API testing with Postman and SoapUI
- Behavior Driven Development (BDD) with Cucumber
- Test Driven Development (TDD) practices
- Test case and defect management using Zephyr Preferred Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Android Studio for mobile application testing
- Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner for mobile applications
- Familiarity with cloud-based mobile testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs
- Knowledge of security testing methodologies for mobile applications
- Experience with accessibility testing for mobile platforms Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) or ISTQB Foundation Level certification
- Certification in Mobile Application Testing or Automation Tools such as Appium
