About this role

At JPMorgan Chase, our Marketing organization helps connect customers with products and services that support their financial goals. We’re looking for a hands-on Print & Direct Mail Production Manager (Print Manager) who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and brings strong supplier management, production expertise, and operational rigor. You’ll partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver campaigns that are accurate, timely, cost-effective, and consistently executed.

As a Print & Direct Mail Production Manager (Print Manager) on the Marketing Execution team, you will be responsible for the planning, sourcing, and day-to-day management of third-party print and mail production to support multiple lines of business and marketing teams. You will create production timelines, manage supplier performance, estimate and control costs, manage quality, and execute work in a risk-aware manner from intake through final delivery/mail drop. You should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in print manufacturing and direct mail operations, with the ability to translate marketing objectives into executable production plans while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Job responsibilities

- Serve as a subject matter expert for print and direct mail production across multiple marketing teams, managing work from request intake through final delivery and/or mail deployment.

- Support multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing priorities across stakeholders and communicating clearly on status, trade-offs, and decisions.

- Create Lettershop Instructions and technical production specifications (paper, inks, finishing, personalization, postal requirements, packaging, kitting), ensuring feasibility and cost optimization.

- Lead estimates/bids in partnership with the category Sourcing team, compare supplier proposals, and drive cost optimization (e.g., format, paper, finishing, production methods, mailing strategies) while maintaining quality and timing.

- Evaluate, recommend, and assign third-party print/direct mail suppliers to specific campaigns and projects.

- Build and manage production schedules; proactively identify risks and implement mitigation plans to keep campaigns on track.

- Oversee proofing and approval processes (soft/hard proofs as appropriate), QA checks, Lettershop instructions, and manage corrections when needed.

- Manage supplier relationships and performance related to print and direct mail production, including service levels, quality, turnaround times, and issue resolution.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

- 4+ years of experience in print production and/or direct mail production management (in-house, agency, printer, or mail service provider environment).

- Demonstrated experience sourcing and managing third-party vendors, including RFx participation, bid comparisons, and performance management.

- Strong working knowledge of print manufacturing (offset/digital), finishing, and color management.

- Strong working knowledge of direct mail operations, including personalization/variable data printing concepts, address hygiene considerations, and mail drop coordination.

- Proven project management capability: building schedules, managing dependencies, running status meetings, and delivering on time across multiple stakeholders.

- High attention to detail with a strong quality mindset; able to spot production risks and prevent errors.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate marketing needs into production requirements and explain options/trade-offs.

- Ability to work effectively in a regulated environment with adherence to controls, approvals, and documented processes.

- Experience managing complex deliverables such as multi-piece kits, inserts, envelopes, dimensional mail, or coordinated multi-vendor programs.

- Experience with USPS optimization concepts (classes, presort, commingling, postage savings promotions).

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

- Experience supporting financial services or other highly regulated industries (banking, insurance, healthcare, telecom).

- College degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a relevant supply chain discipline

- Familiarity with creative production file standards and InDesign.

- Experience designing packages for mail, and or in-depth knowledge of postal design standards
