About the Role
The Transport Coordinator will be responsible for planning and coordinating inbound and outbound transportation activities for our warehouses in Rotterdam and Dubai. Acting as the primary point of contact for freight forwarders, the role will manage day-to-day communications and escalations, while ensuring stakeholders receive regular updates on freight rates and shipment statuses.
What You Will Do
Day to day operations
- Plan inbound and outbound transport for the Rotterdam and Dubai warehouses.
- Act as the main contact for freight forwarders and carriers: bookings, shipment status and daily follow-up.
- Act as the first escalation point for transport issues, and resolve delays and service failures with forwarders.
- Share regular updates on freight rates and shipment status with stakeholders.
- Coordinate daily with the warehouses on pick-ups, loading and deliveries.
- Coordinate with Customer Service and the warehouse team on orders and replenishment.
- Keep transport master data accurate and resolve day-to-day system issues.
- Manage non-conformities (process, system, carrier, master data) and follow up on corrective actions.
Continuous improvement
- Track transport KPIs: on-time delivery, cost per shipment and rate accuracy.
- Propose improvements to transport planning, lead times and cost.
- Support the onboarding of new transport flows and lanes.
Who You Are
- Must have 2-4 years experience in transport or logistics coordination.
- Experience in FMCG/ manufacturing shipper/ freight forwarder is preferred.
- Must understand basic logistics language (incoterms, freight modes).
- Must have experience in transport planning, managing forwarders, rates and escalations.
- Must have basic excel skills.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must have TMS and WMS experience.
- Must have basic Power BI knowledge.
