Description

Company Overview:

Bridgehead IT is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions dedicated to guaranteed outcomes that bring peace of mind and improve its clients’ bottom line. With a commitment to operational excellence and client satisfaction, Bridgehead IT delivers tailored solutions that drive business success.

Position Summary:

Bridgehead IT is a San Antonio-based IT services and consulting firm that designs, deploys, and supports technology solutions for organizations ranging from local businesses to large, multi-site and multinational enterprises. We're seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to join our Solutions team and lead the successful delivery of complex technology projects across local, regional, and global environments.

This is not a project coordinator or status-reporting role. As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will own a portfolio of client projects from sales handoff through final delivery, taking full responsibility for scope, schedules, budgets, resource planning, project profitability, and client satisfaction. You'll serve as the primary point of accountability throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.

You'll work closely with technicians, engineers, architects, account managers, and client stakeholders every day, coordinating resources, managing risks, driving communication, and keeping momentum strong from kickoff to closeout. Success in this role requires a balance of technical understanding, business acumen, leadership, and a relentless commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Microsoft 365 and Entra ID deployments, tenant migrations, and security stack rollouts.
- Network refreshes covering firewalls, switching, wireless, and multi-site connectivity.
- AV and unified communications builds, from single conference rooms to full floors.
- IT integration and separation work for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Security projects, including EDR and MDR rollouts, MFA and conditional access, and compliance readiness work.
- Azure and hybrid infrastructure, including server migrations, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Server, storage, and virtualization refreshes in client data centers and server rooms.
- Endpoint refreshes and modern device management with Intune and Autopilot.
- Phone system migrations to Teams Phone and other cloud voice platforms.
- Office relocations and new site buildouts that pull together cabling, network, AV, and end-user setup on one schedule.
- Multi-phase programs where several of these workstreams run at once for the same client.
- Delivery of every project in your portfolio on schedule and within the hours sold, typically 20 to 30 active projects at a time.
- The sales-to-delivery handoff. You'll review SOWs before they're kicked off and flag gaps in scope, hours, or assumptions.
- Change control. When a client needs more than the original scope covers, you catch it early and work through the adjustment with them before the hours run out.
- Client communication from kickoff to closeout, including status updates, steering meetings, and the hard conversations when something slips.
- Scheduling and coordinating our technical resources, plus the subcontractors and vendors on your projects.
- Identify, track, and escalate risks and issues to the Director of Solutions with a proposed resolution.
- Cutover and go-live planning, with rollback plans and after-hours execution when the project calls for it.
- Accurate project records in the PSA and project management software, so time, budget, and status are right at any point.
- Making us better. You'll improve our templates, handoff process, and project standards as you go.

Education and Experience:

- 5+ years of experience managing technical projects, including experience within an MSP, systems integrator, or IT consulting environment.
- Strong technical foundation. Ideally, you have prior experience as a systems administrator, engineer, or in a closely related technical role, with the ability to understand network diagrams, migration plans, infrastructure architecture, and project estimates.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and core networking concepts, including VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and DNS. While this is not a hands-on engineering role, you must be able to understand technical requirements, project dependencies, and implementation risks.
- Experience managing projects with fixed budgets and allocated hours while effectively controlling scope and client expectations.
- Experience leading production cutovers, go-lives, and after-hours implementations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create executive-ready status reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Ability to effectively engage with executive stakeholders while confidently driving accountability with internal teams, vendors, and partners.
- PMP, CAPM, or CompTIA Project+, or equivalent project management certification.
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, AZ-104, SC-series
- Networking certifications such as CCNA, or Network+.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture-related IT projects.

A four-year degree is not required. We place greater value on your project delivery experience, technical understanding, and proven ability to lead successful client engagements.

Why Join Bridgehead IT?

- Serve as a trusted advisor for a diverse portfolio of SMB and Major Accounts.
- Influence technology strategy and business outcomes.
- Work alongside highly skilled engineers, architects, and technology leaders.
- Gain exposure to a wide range of industries and technologies.
- Enjoy a high-impact role with significant visibility and growth opportunities.
- Be part of a team that values ownership, innovation, accountability, and exceptional client service.
