We are seeking a talented and driven Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance Advisory team, supporting Marsh’s Direct Investment Unit. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to broaden their expertise within a dynamic and highly regulated investment environment.

Working closely with the Direct Investment Unit, a MiFID-regulated business, you will play an important role in delivering compliance oversight, regulatory guidance, monitoring activities, and policy support. You will act as a trusted partner to the business, helping to strengthen the compliance framework while supporting the implementation of regulatory change and promoting a strong culture of governance and accountability.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work across a broad range of compliance activities while building strong relationships with key stakeholders across Investments, Compliance, and the wider Legal, Compliance & Public Affairs function.

This role will be based in the London office . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will rely on you to:

Provide Advice, Oversight and Challenge

- Act as a key point of contact for day-to-day compliance advice, supporting the Direct Investment Unit on internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain compliance registers and contribute to the oversight of registers managed within the First Line of Defence.
- Help strengthen and enhance the Compliance Framework through the development and maintenance of compliance policies, manuals, procedures, and training materials.
- Undertake compliance monitoring activities to assess adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Manage and oversee call recording processes in partnership with business and technology teams.
- Escalate issues where appropriate and collaborate with Compliance and Legal colleagues to identify effective solutions.
- Develop into a trusted adviser to the business, building strong working relationships and providing practical, risk-based compliance support.
- Support the identification, assessment, and management of compliance risks and incidents.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assist with the implementation of regulatory change initiatives.

Strategic

- Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct.
- Collaborate effectively across Compliance and the wider Legal, Compliance & Public Affairs function.
- Contribute to the delivery of broader compliance objectives and strategic initiatives.

Regulatory

- Support the business in meeting its legal, regulatory, risk, and compliance obligations.
- Assist with preparations for regulatory engagement, including thematic reviews, supervisory visits, Compliance Monitoring reviews, and Internal Audits.
- Help ensure that regulatory requirements are appropriately interpreted, communicated, and embedded within business processes.

What you need to have:

- University degree or equivalent professional experience.
- A strong track record of working within the compliance function of a UK MiFID-regulated firm.
- A solid understanding of the UK regulatory landscape and the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements in a practical business environment.
- Experience supporting compliance monitoring, regulatory advisory activities, policy governance, or risk oversight functions.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to ownership and delivery.

What makes you stand out:

- A professional compliance or investment qualification (or currently studying towards one), ideally at QCA Level 4 or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of MiFID , with exposure to AIFMD , UCITS , or other investment management related regulations being highly advantageous.
- A genuine desire to develop a long-term career within financial services compliance.
- The ability to build strong relationships and confidently engage with stakeholders across a wide range of business areas.
- A pragmatic and commercially minded approach to problem-solving and risk management.
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a wider team environment.
- Strong communication skills and an interest in engaging with a broad range of people and regulatory topics.
