This is the stretch zone. Come find out what you're capable of. About the role Before a new Klarna product or feature reaches shoppers in the UK, someone has to be sure it meets UK regulation. This position sits in the Compliance team in our London office. You'll interpret new and changed rules, turn them into guidelines and routines the business can follow, and advise the teams building and running Klarna's products. You'll work independently and prioritise your own workload, while staying closely connected to colleagues and stakeholders in other countries and time zones, mostly remotely. This position is open at Specialist or Manager level, and where we land depends on your experience. A candidate with 2–3 years in financial services would likely join as a Specialist, and one with closer to 6 years would likely join as a Manager. What you'll do You'll support Compliance colleagues and key business stakeholders in their activities, for example regulatory engagement and preparing regulatory notifications and reports. You'll create and update guidelines, policies, and routines within the compliance field. You'll monitor UK regulatory developments within Klarna's business areas. You'll interpret new and modified regulations and support implementation in the business You'll advise the business on all compliance-related matters. You'll share knowledge on regulatory requirements and contribute to ongoing competence across Klarna by providing information and training. You'll oversee and review Klarna's adherence to UK regulations and ensure good compliance governance within the business. You'll identify and mitigate compliance risks and prepare risk analyses. You'll take part in development projects for new products and services. You'll prepare, implement, and maintain compliance plans. You'll prepare and coordinate internal and external reports. Who you are You've spent 2–6 years working in the financial services sector. You're passionate about compliance. You write and speak English fluently. You prioritise your own work and are comfortable working independently, as well as with colleagues and stakeholders remotely across other countries and time zones. You act with integrity. You're ambitious, proactive, and action oriented. You explain regulatory topics clearly to colleagues and business stakeholders. Bonus points for A legal background. Experience with payment services and systems, or with consumer credit, financing, and lending. Experience with financial crime risk (including AML/CTF, ABC, and fraud) and/or PSD2 and open banking. Experience working at a FinTech firm. Swedish language skills.
