The Role at a Glance:

As a Dental Patient Access Specialist, you'll be at the heart of the patient experience, making a lasting impact from the very first interaction. Your primary role is to ensure every patient is welcomed with efficiency, professionalism, and care, setting the stage for a seamless dental journey. You'll be the mastermind behind appointment scheduling, expertly coordinating visits in line with College of Dental Medicine (CODM) guidelines. With your keen attention to detail and strategic thinking, you'll ensure that each patient's appointment is not only on time but also perfectly aligned with the clinic’s needs, creating a smooth flow for both patients and providers.

- Be the first point of connection for patients by helping them navigate scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and access to the care they need.
- Keep the clinic running smoothly by coordinating patient appointments, managing provider schedules, and optimizing patient flow to support an exceptional patient experience.
- Make a meaningful impact on patient care by ensuring records, consents, registrations, and insurance requirements are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Build relationships and provide outstanding service through daily interactions with patients, families, insurance carriers, and healthcare partners.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment by managing a high volume of incoming and outgoing communications while helping patients receive timely care.
- Collaborate with a dedicated clinical team to support operational excellence, improve clinic efficiency, and contribute to positive patient outcomes.
- Play an important role in the patient journey by coordinating treatment appointments, insurance pre-authorizations, and follow-up care from start to finish.

What You'll Bring:

- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent), 1 year experience in a dental/medical office preferred; or any combination of education, experience and training which provides the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bilingual required (Spanish speaking)
