The Role at a Glance

As a Sterilization Specialist , you'll play a critical role in supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care within the College of Dental Medicine clinics. You'll ensure instruments, equipment, and supplies are properly cleaned, sterilized, tracked, and ready for use, helping students, residents, faculty, and staff deliver exceptional care. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and enjoys being an essential part of a team dedicated to patient safety and operational excellence.

What You'll Do and Why You'll Love This Role

- Help ensure exceptional patient care by cleaning, sterilizing, and preparing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with OSHA and industry standards.
- Be a key part of clinic operations by managing instrument distribution, treatment room readiness, and inventory to keep the dental clinics running smoothly.
- Make an impact on patient safety and compliance by monitoring sterilization processes, performing required testing, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Work with cutting-edge dental technology by supporting sterilization equipment, instrument tracking systems, digital workflows, and clinical operations.
- Collaborate with students, residents, faculty, and staff to support an outstanding educational and patient care environment.
- Take ownership of inventory and equipment readiness by tracking supplies, receiving orders, and helping ensure the clinic has the resources it needs to operate efficiently.
- Grow your clinical knowledge and skills by supporting infection control procedures, assisting with clinical operations, and contributing to continuous process improvements.
