This role leads product development and commercialization programs that advance strategic growth objectives, guiding cross-functional teams through the New Product Commercialization Framework (NPCF) to deliver innovative, compliant, and manufacturable medical device solutions from opportunity assessment through commercial launch.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

- Lead programs through all phases of the New Product Commercialization Framework (NPCF-Global and NPCF-Lite projects), from opportunity assessment through commercial launch, ensuring achievement of program objectives, timelines, and business outcomes.

- Serve as the primary program leader and cross-functional coordinator, aligning engineering, operations, quality, regulatory, supply chain, commercial, and customer stakeholders to execute strategic program objectives.

- Develop and maintain integrated program plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and critical deliverables, ensuring proactive management of program performance.

- Build and maintain trusted customer relationships, positioning the organization as a strategic development and manufacturing partner for medical device OEMs.

- Lead program governance activities, including Stage Gate Reviews, executive updates, and steering committee presentations, ensuring informed decision making and adherence to Stage Gate requirements.

- Drive risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution through active management of program risk registers, escalations, and contingency plans.

- Ensure compliance with applicable quality, regulatory, and design control requirements, including design inputs, design outputs, verification, validation, and production transfer activities.

- Manage program financial performance, including development revenue, non-recurring engineering (NRE), budget accountability, scope management, purchase order coverage, and forecasting.

- Lead commercialization and technology transfer activities to support sustainable, efficient, repeatable, and scalable manufacturing operations across global sites.

- Support business growth through participation in customer strategy discussions, opportunity assessments, establishing business cases, and development of program execution strategies.

- Communicate program status, risks, financial performance, and key decisions clearly and effectively to customers, leadership teams, and internal stakeholders.

- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance commercialization effectiveness, project execution, customer experience, and organizational capability.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related technical discipline.

- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required.

- 10+ years of experience leading complex product development, commercialization, or manufacturing programs within a regulated industry.

- Demonstrated expertise in new product development, design controls, technology transfer, and commercialization processes.

- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, quality, regulatory, supply chain, commercial, and customer organizations without direct authority.

- Strong understanding of program management disciplines, including scope, schedule, resource planning, risk management, financial management, and stage-gate governance.

- Experience managing program financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, business cases, development revenue, and resource planning.

- Working knowledge of ISO 13485, medical device design controls, and regulated product development requirements.

- Experience in medical device contract design, development, or manufacturing environments.

- Ability and willingness to work primarily onsite, preferably in Minneapolis, to facilitate cross-functional collaboration, customer engagement, and program execution.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works with minimal supervision from manager. Requires light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities.
