Production Supervisor - Weekend Days

Shift Schedule: Friday to Sunday 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Core Functions:

- Provide daily leadership and supervision of production staff, coordinating labor, equipment, and resources to achieve production goals and build schedules.

- Set clear performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, coach, mentor, and develop team members.

- Build strong partnerships with manufacturing support teams, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Human Resources, and other functional leaders.

- Establish team goals that align with organizational objectives while fostering employee growth, development, and accountability through regular feedback and performance discussions.

- Address performance concerns and workplace conflicts in a timely, professional, and constructive manner, leveraging available resources as needed.

- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, regulatory, and company requirements.

- Lead or support investigations, resolutions, and documentation related to Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).

- Ensure manufacturing records and documentation are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with quality system requirements.

- Partner with training resources to identify training needs, ensure training effectiveness, and maintain required employee qualifications.

- Monitor, analyze, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational performance and accountability.

- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

- Champion continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing principles to drive operational excellence.

- Maintain a visible presence on the production floor, providing hands-on support and leadership to manufacturing teams.

- Collaborate with Research and Development teams to support the successful transfer and manufacturability of new products, processes, and components.

- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring activities to build and maintain a high-performing manufacturing team.

Qualifications

Background/Expertise:

- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or equivalent experience in manufacturing, production, cleanroom operations, medical device manufacturing, or a related technical field may be considered in place of formal education.

- Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Experience developing and improving manufacturing processes.

- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools, including 5S, one-piece flow, and value stream mapping; hands-on experience preferred.

- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.

- Proven ability to drive results and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems.

- Strong planning, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Adaptable, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

- Works in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment.

- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include gloves, smock, hair covering, beard covering (if applicable), safety glasses and approved safety footwear.

- Must comply with company policies, cleanroom requirements, and applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Additional PPE may be required depending on job duties and work area, including but not limited to cut-resistant gloves, face shields, heat-resistant gloves, and hearing protection.
