Maintenance Technician Mon-Thurs 6pm-6am

Shift- Mon-Thurs 6pm-6am

Pay- $24 hourly (dependent on previous experience) + 6% night shift differential

Primary Responsibilities:

Safety

- Maintain a safety-first attitude and follow all company safety policies, procedures, and requirements.

- Follow required personal protective equipment and safe work practices when performing maintenance activities.

- Use lockout/tagout procedures and appropriate safeguards when servicing equipment.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

- Promptly communicate unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, or potential hazards.

Equipment Maintenance & Reliability

- Perform daily scheduled and preventive maintenance on production lines and other plant equipment.

- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

- Ensure production lines and equipment are maintained and capable of supporting production requirements.

- Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete corrective repairs to minimize downtime.

- Complete work requests assigned by the Plant Engineer, Plant Manager, Shift Leaders, or other designated leadership.

- Contribute to line commissioning and startup activities following maintenance or process events.

- Assist in identifying causes of equipment failures and implementing appropriate corrective actions.

- Document completed maintenance, repairs, inspections, and equipment conditions accurately and promptly.

Production Support

- Work closely with production personnel to troubleshoot issues, minimize downtime, and support operational goals.

- Assist with equipment setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting during production.

- Communicate equipment status, repair progress, and operating concerns to leadership and affected team members.

- Support manufacturing operations through timely execution of maintenance activities.

- Operate in a manner that provides value to the team and supports overall plant objectives.

Plant Projects & Continuous Improvement

- Develop a strong understanding of assigned plant projects and actively support their implementation.

- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other functions on equipment-related projects and improvements.

- Recommend opportunities to improve equipment safety, reliability, performance, and maintainability.

- Assist with equipment installation, modification, commissioning, and process-improvement activities as assigned.

Teamwork

- Complete assigned tasks with other maintenance personnel in a collaborative team environment.

- Work independently when appropriate while maintaining communication with shift leadership and team members.

- Support cross-functional problem solving and share technical information with affected employees.

- Perform additional duties as needed or assigned by supervision or management.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Support emergency and corrective maintenance activities based on operational needs.

- Assist with maintaining parts, tools, supplies, and maintenance documentation.

- Adjust the work schedule, with advance notice, when required to accommodate business needs.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED required.

- Three or more years of experience in an industrial maintenance position or similar role.

- Proven experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.

- Experience working with manufacturing systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

- Forklift certification required.

- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings preferred.

- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

- Strong mathematical skills.

- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with employees at different organizational levels.

- Self-directed and motivated, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions:

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing while performing maintenance activities.

- Regular use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance devices.

- Work is performed around manufacturing equipment, moving machinery, electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, elevated noise levels, and varying temperatures.
