THE ROLE
Join our Banking team, a centre of expertise in capital markets and debt financing. The team structures and manages transactions involving billions of pounds of public funds, working with banks and other financial institutions to help expand access to finance for smaller businesses across the UK.
As a Structuring Analyst, you will help tackle the funding, security and capital constraints that can limit lending to smaller businesses, and contribute to transactions that improve access to finance and deliver a visible impact across the UK economy.
From the outset, you will support live transactions across securitisations, structured finance and other capital market products. This could involve financial modelling, shaping transaction structures, preparing approval papers and helping to draft legal documents, giving you practical experience of how complex deals come together.
This is an opportunity to learn every stage of a transaction, take on meaningful responsibility early in your career and develop with support from experienced colleagues. A rotational programme across several product teams offers broad experience and a solid foundation in debt capital markets.
During your induction, office attendance is required for at least three days each week. This time together is designed to help you build connections, learn from colleagues and settle into a collaborative working environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential: A degree, or equivalent work experience, in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Chemistry or Engineering. A minimum or predicted 2:1 is preferred. You should also demonstrate curiosity, analytical thinking and enthusiasm for learning.
Desirable: Experience within a financial institution, an interest in the SME finance market, and a commitment to working towards the CFA qualification would be advantageous.
