How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an SAP Analyst – Data Center Products, you will report directly to the Director of SAP Global Solutions. The incumbent will be responsible for defining, implementing, and supporting SAP business processes that enable the growth of SPX Cooling’s Data Center Products business. This role will serve as a key SAP subject matter expert supporting make-to-stock manufacturing and the end-to-end order-to-cash process, including Sales and Operations Planning, Demand Management, Order Management, Production Planning, fulfillment, serialization, and Customer Equipment Management.

You will partner closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Finance, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions. The role will help establish efficient processes for forecasting, inventory planning, production scheduling, customer fulfillment, installed-base management, and aftermarket support while ensuring strong integration across the broader supply chain.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

1. SAP Sales, Demand & Order Management

- Define, configure, and support SAP order-to-cash processes, including customer order management, fulfillment, invoicing, and customer equipment tracking.

- Design and support SAP Sales Contract processes that enable customers to purchase multiple units under long-term agreements with phased shipments to multiple locations.

- Implement and support Demand Management processes using Planned Independent Requirements (PIRs) generated from customer forecasts and business-planning activities.

- Configure and support Scheduling Agreement processes that integrate customer demand, supply planning, and delivery commitments.

2. Production Planning, Inventory & Product Traceability

- Configure and support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes for make-to-stock manufacturing, including inventory planning, replenishment strategies, production scheduling, and inventory optimization.

- Develop and maintain SAP serialization processes that provide product traceability through manufacturing, shipment, installation, and aftermarket support.

- Configure and support Customer Equipment Management processes for installed-base records, warranty tracking, service history, and future aftermarket opportunities.

- Ensure SAP processes effectively support manufacturing and supply-chain requirements as the Data Center Products business grows.

3. Business Partnership & Process Improvement

- Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Finance, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop scalable SAP solutions.

- Analyze current processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, data accuracy, and integration across the order-to-cash supply chain.

- Translate complex business requirements into functional SAP designs, process flows, and implementation plans.

- Support business growth initiatives, new processes, and operational changes through effective SAP solution design and cross-functional collaboration.

4. Application Support, Enhancements & Governance

- Troubleshoot and resolve SAP application issues across development, testing, and production environments.

- Provide application support and status updates to end users through the SPX enterprise IT service desk and applicable vendor-support channels.

- Develop functional and technical specifications supporting SAP enhancements, integrations, reporting solutions, and third-party applications.

- Support system upgrades, business integrations, project initiatives, continuous improvement, and digital-transformation efforts while following SPX change management, release management, testing, and governance processes.

What we are looking for (Required/Ideal Experience, Skills, Education)

Required Experience & Skills

- 5+ years of SAP ERP experience supporting Sales, Demand Management, Production Planning, Order-to-Cash, or related business processes.

- Experience implementing and supporting SAP solutions in a manufacturing environment.

- Strong knowledge of SAP Sales Contracts, Scheduling Agreements, Demand Management, Planned Independent Requirements (PIRs), and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).

- Experience supporting make-to-stock manufacturing processes, including forecasting, inventory planning, production planning, and customer fulfillment.

- Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.

- Ability to manage changing priorities within a fast-paced business environment.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Ideal Experience & Skills

- Experience supporting serialized products and Customer Equipment Management processes.

- Experience with installed-base management, warranty tracking, service history, or aftermarket processes.

- Experience supporting business-process design for new products, manufacturing operations, or business expansion.

- Experience developing functional specifications for integrations, reporting, enhancements, or third-party applications.

- Demonstrated ability to build effective business partnerships and strategic relationships within a large organization.

- Experience supporting SAP-related continuous improvement, transformation, upgrade, or integration initiatives.

Education & Certifications

- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.

- Relevant SAP certifications preferred but not required.

Travel & Working Environment

- Onsite office environment Monday through Friday; hybrid work schedule available after satisfactory completion of probationary period.

- Occasional travel to customer sites, manufacturing facilities, laboratories, industry conferences, and technical meetings.

- Position may occasionally require work outside normal business hours.

- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform occasional bending, stooping, and standing.
