Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Music Therapist to join our Behavioral Health Department in Jacksonville, FL.
This is a PRN position supporting patients across our behavioral health units.

Music Therapist, Job Responsibilities:
- Lead therapeutic music and activity-based interventions with patients within the behavioral health units.
- Develop, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, experiential programming designed to support patients' emotional, physical, and social well-being.
- Facilitate therapeutic programming incorporating music and other appropriate activities, including recreation and wellness, outdoor leisure and nature, gardening, daily living skills, arts, crafts, and other activities suited to the behavioral health milieu.
- Identify individual and group needs and develop relevant therapeutic programs and activities to address those needs.
- Establish and maintain effective, therapeutic relationships with patients throughout their stay.
- Provide patient assessment and therapeutic activities that support overall emotional and physical well-being.
- Plan, organize, and maintain a schedule of therapeutic activities and lesson plans for behavioral health programming.
- Document and communicate relevant patient participation, responses, and progress as appropriate.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, therapists, social workers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to provide positive, engaging, and innovative activities that complement the daily behavioral health program.
Experience Requirements:
- 1 year music therapist experience
Certification Requirement s
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Board Certified Music Therapist, BC-MT required
