As a Casual Healthcare Security Guard, your role will vary depending on operational needs within a hospital environment. Whether it's conducting patrols, supporting patient safety, responding to incidents, or providing customer service, we need you to adapt with agility and professionalism while helping maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities for Casual Healthcare Security Guard
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols of hospital premises
- Perform one-on-one patient watch assignments
- Support patient safety and maintain a secure environment
- Control access points and verify identification
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns
- Use de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations
- Assist hospital staff, patients, and visitors
- Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports
Qualifications for Casual Healthcare Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid Alberta Security Services License
- First Aid/CPR certification required
- Flexible availability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Previous healthcare security experience is considered an asset
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
