## Job Summary

Battelle's Health Research and Analytics (HRA) business line is currently seeking a Health Promotion Technician/Coordinator to support our government customer in Portsmouth, VA. This Public Health (PH) program enables our government customer to maximize readiness through force health protection (FHP) strategies and solutions for current and potential Public Health (PH) threats. The core scientific and technical capabilities and product lines in this program are to conduct Health Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Analysis; Disease and Injury Prevention; and PH Consultation and Support for the benefit of active-duty service members, retirees, and their families. Battelle shall enable these capabilities and product lines by providing Scientific and Technical Information (STI) deliverables, by performing Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and other Research and Development (R&D) related analytical services.

Creates and maintains a positive image for HPW lines of effort to increase awareness of HPW mission and goals and provides administrative support to the department and related tasks.

The position is onsite and located at: Sewells Point Clinic in Norfolk, VA.

## Responsibilities

- Coordinates stakeholder communications and outreach efforts with military commands, healthcare partners, and community organizations to support AFWC programs and services.
- Prepares, edits, and maintains correspondence, reports, briefings, presentations, standard operating procedures, and other administrative documents.
- Maintains and updates departmental administrative systems, including SharePoint sites, distribution lists, program databases, shared mailboxes, records, and tracking documents.
- Manages patient scheduling, contact information, and administrative tracking systems to support efficient clinic operations and service delivery.
- Coordinates inventory management, supply orders, equipment tracking, and receipt of materials with director and program management.
- Assists Health Coaches with operational support including equipment readiness, assessment area preparation, and program material management.
- Manages stakeholder coordination and engagement for both onsite and virtual meetings using MS Teams.
- Facilitates records and data management in accordance with all applicable DoD privacy, records management, and security requirements.
- Serves as the facility, space management, and administrative support point of contact.
- Supports wellness center director with collateral duty administrative tasks.
- Supports special projects, process improvement efforts, operational reporting, compliance activities, and quality assurance initiatives.

## Key Qualifications

- High school diploma.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Skills and experience to independently monitor activities such as supply orders (i.e., DD1149 Form), equipment, and cost accounting data.
- Ability to critically review, independently edit, format, and synthesize various types of input (verbal, notes, emails, drafts) into a cohesive document or correspondence.
- Experience gathering and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and developing administrative reports and recommendations.

## Preferred Qualifications

- Four or more years of active-duty experience or experience working in a military environment.
- Advanced skills using software tools, including Microsoft Office suite, MS SharePoint, and Adobe Pro to support program management efforts.
- Experience with military supply ordering (i.e., Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS)).
- Experience with setting up and hosting video and teleconferences and virtual meetings using collaboration systems such as Microsoft Teams and Cisco WebEx.
- Experience with MHS Genesis or electronic medical records (EMR).

## Compensation Data

Battelle is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $39,900 - $53,600 per year, in addition to our comprehensive benefits package. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. Salary ranges may vary based on geographic location and market conditions.
