Project Structural Engineer

Job Title: Project Structural Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Project Structural Engineer to independently manage structural engineering projects from proposal through construction for small to medium-sized projects. The ideal candidate will plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work with team members. Responsibilities

- Independently manage structural engineering projects from proposal through construction.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work with team members.
- Perform destructive and non-destructive testing on existing structures.
- Conduct quality control reviews of proposals, reports, drawings, and designs prepared by others.
- Evaluate and develop complex laboratory, field data, and structural analysis.
- Serve as a technical adviser to junior-level structural team members.
- Collaborate directly with clients and project teams to define scope, communicate progress, and provide design recommendations.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, specifications, and construction drawings.

Essential Skills

- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Masters degree preferred).
- 58 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record.
- Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience in forensic engineering is heavily preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit and Autocad.

Work Environment The role involves collaborating directly with clients and project teams, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The position may involve both office and field work, including conducting tests on existing structures. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
