Field Service Engine Technician

Job Summary:

Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site.

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Houston, TX).

Will make an impact in the following ways:

- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

- Maintain own tools

Additional expectations:

- Keep company credit card expenses up to date.
- Keep driving license, TWIC card and Med card up to date.
- Have all service reports and time turned in daily.

This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. ORDER, DOT Physical and DMV Report. CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire - Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older - A current valid license is required for this role - This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations - This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical - 3 years driving experience - This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use - Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age - A current valid license is required for this role - Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience - This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:
Basic level field service work experience
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Customer service experience
