Full Pay Range: $19.53 to $27.33 
Shift: Variable

Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

Part Time Operations Maintenance Intern, La Crosse, WI:

Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Operations Maintenance Division is looking for well-rounded Electro-mechanical / Industrial Maintenance / HVAC Intern(s).  This individual will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of modern automated process systems. Candidates should have experience working with Allen-Bradley PLC’s and supporting control devices, along with a strong industrial electronic and mechanical background. This is a paid internship with tuition assistance/reimbursement opportunity.

Regular tasks include but are not limited to:

- Perform preventative maintenance procedures.
- Communicate with operators and the management team.
- Ensure day to day productivi8ty and operational efficiencies are achieved.
- Perform emergency maintenance as required.
- Coordinate with vendors for necessary repairs
- Inspect facilities and equipment on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

- First or second year Technical College student currently enrolled in an Electro-mechanical, Automation, Industrial Technology, Mechatronics, HVAC, or a similar program.
- Strong mechanical skills
- Ability to work well alone and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Accurate and detail oriented
- Willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks.
- Ability to support and meet department deadlines.
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics and manuals.
- Good working knowledge of hand and power tools
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to work safely and within food safety and regulatory standards.

Physical qualifications:

Stand/walk for up to 10 hours per shift; bend/reach/twist and stoop/kneel/crouch frequently; lift/carry 50 pounds frequently; lift/carry up to 80 pounds occasionally.

Work Schedule:

Interested applicants must be willing to work up to 25 hours per week, and it is important to note that we offer flexibility with school scheduling. This internship also offers the possibility of transitioning to full time.
