We are looking for Material Account Manager to come onboard in our Customer Support and Material’s department.
Reporting to the Head of Material Account Managers, you will manage a portfolio of airline customers and serve as a key interface between the customer and ATR for material support activities.
Your Mission
Your mission is to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction while driving operational and commercial performance across your portfolio. You will oversee spare-parts and services activities—including sales, exchanges, repairs and leases—while managing backlog performance, customer claims and service levels.
You will also identify opportunities to increase spare-parts revenue and margin by developing a strong understanding of customer operations, maintenance requirements and future material needs.
Your Responsibilities
Customer & Account Management
- Manage a portfolio of customers and develop strong, trusted and long-term relationships.
- Act as a key customer interface for material support topics, providing timely, accurate and solution-oriented responses.
- Maintain regular communication with customers through calls, performance reviews and customer visits.
- Understand customer operational priorities, maintenance planning and material requirements to anticipate needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Manage customer expectations and coordinate internally to support effective resolution of operational and commercial issues.
- Build and maintain customer service-level scorecards and conduct regular performance reviews with key customer accounts.
Order, Backlog & Service-Level Management
- Perform daily monitoring and management of the customer order backlog for spare parts and services.
- Proactively identify potential delays, prioritize critical requirements and coordinate recovery actions to minimize impact to customers.
- Provide customers with clear and timely visibility of order status and expected delivery performance.
- Manage customer claims related to quality, pricing, logistics, invoicing, cancellations and other order-related matters.
- Coordinate and drive subcontractor activities to ensure alignment with ATR commitments, including quotation response times, delivery schedules, return deadlines, payment conditions and Incoterms.
- Develop and monitor administrative, logistics and service-level performance indicators.
- Ensure adherence to ATR safety and regulatory requirements throughout material-management activities.
Commercial & Business Development
- Identify opportunities to increase spare-parts and services revenue while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Monitor quotation-to-order conversion and develop appropriate actions to improve conversion and capture additional business.
- Collaborate with Pricing and Inventory teams to identify sales opportunities and support targeted commercial campaigns.
- Use customer maintenance planning and anticipated material requirements to develop proactive commercial offers.
- Participate in commercial and price negotiations for strategic orders.
- Coordinate cross-selling opportunities with other ATR services and support functions.
- Benchmark the aftermarket environment and relevant competitive offerings to help strengthen ATR's commercial positioning and profitability.
Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Support the Head of Customer Order Desk in preparing annual spare-parts logistics and sales objectives and associated action plans.
- Analyze customer and portfolio performance to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Translate performance data into actionable recommendations supporting customer satisfaction, service levels and commercial performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, productivity and customer experience.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within material-management processes.
- Promote and provide first-level support for ATR digital tools available to customers.
About you
Experience
- 3–5 years of professional experience, preferably in customer support, material management, logistics, aviation, aerospace or a related environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing customer relationships and driving customer satisfaction.
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment involving multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Aviation industry experience is an advantage.
Business & Technical Skills
- Strong customer relationship management and commercial mindset.
- Negotiation skills and ability to identify business opportunities.
- Good understanding of logistics and supply-chain principles.
- Ability to analyze operational and commercial data and translate findings into actionable plans.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- SAP knowledge is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, written communication and presentation skills are expected.
