The Opportunity:
The Sales Engineer will support all sales activities by providing technical expertise throughout customer engagements. This role includes integration support, training, product sustainment tasks, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful deployments and high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Support Account Executives and Account Managers in all technical aspects of customer engagements.
- Provide technical support for new platform integrations and participate in pre-sale technical discussions.
- Deliver technical documentation and remote integration assistance as required.
- Conduct product training for customers in both pre and post-sale phases.
- Travel regularly to customer sites to support bailments, demos, and new product deliveries.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on gimbal operation and performance expectations.
- Assist with product sustainment activities, including firmware updates and new feature rollouts.
- Support trade shows, industry events, and field exercises.
- Collaborate with Field Service Representatives to troubleshoot issues, address performance concerns, and process RMAs.
- Capture customer feedback on limitations, capability gaps, and new requirements to inform engineering design efforts.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 2+ years of technical or engineering experience with hardware integration on autonomous or unmanned platforms (UAS, USV, UGV).
- 2+ years of sales engineering, customer support, or field support experience.
- Familiarity with the defense technology ecosystem and unmanned systems applications.
- Strong ability to articulate product capabilities and engage effectively with customers and partners.
- Ability to travel on short notice for customer engagements and demonstrations.
- On site work required; remote work is not authorized. Candidate must work from a CACI facility when not traveling.
Desired:
- Preferred locations: Huntsville, AL; Bozeman, MT; Austin, TX; San Diego, CA.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience integrating or operating EO/IR camera payloads.
- Experience with machine vision and full motion video systems.
- Understanding of EM spectral sensor technology for ISR applications.
- Expertise in MAVLink, ArduPilot, and QGroundControl.
- Familiarity with optics, photonics, focal plane systems, or stabilization technologies.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking.
- Active security clearance.
- Experience working collaboratively in team driven technical environments.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$51,800-$106,200
