Supervisor, Recycling

Tesla Motors is looking for an experienced Supervisor to oversee Recycling operations at our Fremont factory. The scope includes oversight of various Recycling processing and sort areas and a staff of Recycling Associates and Leads. The successful candidate will be highly organized and possess strong personnel management skills, along with a high level of integrity.

- Manage Recycling operations with a high focus on safety, service quality, sustainability goals, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Develop operating procedures for the efficient operation of all Recycle processing and sort areas
- Monitor to ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations and the plant's safety program, including adherence to quality expectations and standards, with OSHA, EPA, and Fire Regulations including published work rules
- Develop recommendations for operating improvements, process changes, new equipment, and cost savings initiatives
- Disseminate authoritative oral and/or written information to Associates and Team Members requiring a thorough knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures
- Provide periodic reports on operation/performance of recycling program including KPI’s
- Supervise, train, recommend for hire, evaluate, schedule work of assigned staff, and coordinate activities with other departments

- Degree in related field, experience with evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years Recycling Supervisory/Managemnet experience preferred; Powered Industrial Vehicle experience preferred
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including ability to express well-reasoned, independent thought. Natural ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels
- Possess the abilities to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient with Microsoft email, Word, Excel, Power Point
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds
- Demonstrated ability to be a resilient change agent capable of leading organization through paradigm shifts

Expected Compensation $96,000 - $144,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
