EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 80,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Clinical Director/ Psychologist to join the Brooklyn/ Staten Island CRAN and TASC Mental Health programs.

- Salary: $150,000/year

- Schedule: 9AM-5PM, Monday - Friday

- Location: 175 Remsen Street, 5th Floor in Brooklyn, NY

What drives the core purpose of this job :

The Clinical Director provides clinical leadership for CRAN and TASC Mental Health. The role conducts and oversees psychological and forensic evaluations, supports diversion and reentry planning, supervises clinical staff, and helps connect people with mental health or co-occurring substance use needs to appropriate treatment. The Clinical Director ensures that assessments, treatment recommendations, records, and court-facing reports are timely, accurate, and clinically sound.

What are the key responsibilities:

1. Conduct clinical assessment interviews, psychological and forensic evaluations, and testing for individuals referred to the programs; determine the appropriate scope of assessment and administer and interpret instruments when indicated.

2. Review medical and behavioral health records, correctional health information, criminal history, prior treatment records, and other relevant collateral information; synthesize findings into diagnostic formulations and treatment recommendations.

3. Prepare and sign clear, timely evaluation reports and other court-facing reports addressing clinical findings, diversion suitability, treatment needs, level of care, program status, and progress, as applicable.

4. Provide clinical consultation and testimony to courts and program partners regarding findings, eligibility, and recommended services when requested.

5. Develop, review, and guide implementation of individualized treatment and service plans for participants in diversion and reentry services.

6. Coordinate referrals and placement with hospitals, mental health and substance use treatment providers, correctional partners, courts, and community programs; maintain working relationships that support continuity of care.

7. Provide clinical support, case consultation, crisis intervention, and case conferences for program staff; conduct drug testing when required by program procedures.

8. Supervise and train clinical assessors, interns, externs, postdoctoral fellows, associates, and limited permit staff, as assigned; review work completed by staff and consultants for clinical quality and consistency.

9. Provide staff training on assessment practices, forensic documentation, treatment planning, and other relevant clinical topics.

10. Maintain complete and accurate client records and meet applicable program, court, contract, legal, regulatory, data quality, and reporting requirements.

11. Represent EAC Network at stakeholder meetings, court discussions, workshops, and community events as requested; carry out other related duties as assigned..

What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role:

1. Knowledge of mental health and substance use treatment, diversion, reentry, and the needs of justice involved populations.

2. Ability to conduct time-sensitive clinical and forensic evaluations, interpret psychological and risk-related information when indicated, and write defensible reports for court and program use.

3. Strong clinical judgment, crisis response, supervision, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

4. Clear written and verbal communication with participants, staff, courts, correctional partners, and treatment providers.

5. Proficiency with electronic records, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, email, and other systems needed for the role.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. New York State license as a psychologist required.

2. Experience conducting psychological or forensic evaluations and preparing reports for court or other justice system partners required.

3. At least one year of relevant experience with justice-involved populations; clinical supervision experience preferred.
