Base Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 + Annual Bonus Opportunity + Full Benefits
Compensation will be determined based on experience, education, specialized skills, and overall qualifications.

Preferred Locations: New York, Boston, or Chicago

Travel: Occasional travel required to support internal meetings, client engagements, and strategic initiatives.

Position Summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a highly analytical and execution-oriented Manager, Strategic Operations - Health System Experience (HSE) to drive high-impact strategic initiatives across our health system portfolio.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in management consulting, healthcare consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, strategic operations, or business transformation , particularly within healthcare, specialty pharmacy, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or health systems.

Reporting to Strategic Operations leadership and partnering closely with the Senior Vice President of Strategic Accounts & Health System Experience and the broader HSE leadership team , this individual will help shape strategic priorities, lead cross-functional projects, support account growth initiatives, and deliver actionable insights that improve performance across the business.

This is a highly visible role requiring a strong blend of strategic planning, analytics, project management, change management, and executive communication . The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and capable of translating complex business challenges into actionable solutions. We are seeking someone who can use data to drive decision-making, build structure where needed, and lead initiatives from concept through execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with the Senior Vice President of Strategic Accounts & Health System Experience and HSE leadership to support strategic planning, business priorities, and portfolio-wide initiatives.

- Help define, measure, and accelerate key success metrics, goals, and objectives across health system accounts.

- Use data and analytics to identify opportunities, measure performance, evaluate trends, and support leadership decision-making.

- Develop executive presentations, business cases, dashboards, reporting tools, and strategic recommendations for senior leaders and client stakeholders.

- Lead complex cross-functional projects from initial scoping through implementation, ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely execution.

- Support account planning, renewal readiness, growth opportunities, and operational initiatives across the health system portfolio.

- Create scalable processes, tools, frameworks, and operating models that improve efficiency, consistency, and visibility across the organization.

- Partner closely with Strategic Operations, Health System Experience, Business Development, Go-To-Market, Operations, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives.

- Facilitate the sharing of customer insights, market intelligence, competitive trends, and best practices across teams.

- Support implementation and change management efforts that help the organization achieve strategic goals.

- Take ownership of ambiguous business challenges, proactively identify solutions, and drive initiatives through completion.

Qualifications

Required Experience

- Bachelor's degree required.

- 4-6+ years of experience in one or more of the following:

Management Consulting

- Healthcare Consulting

- Investment Banking

- Private Equity

- Strategic Operations

- Corporate Strategy

- Business Transformation

- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities, with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights.

- Proven project management experience leading initiatives across multiple stakeholders and functions.

- Experience developing executive-level presentations, strategic recommendations, and business cases.

- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, written communication, and presentation skills.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and drive initiatives from concept through execution.

Preferred Experience

- Experience within healthcare, specialty pharmacy, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, providers, payers, or health systems.

- Exposure to commercial strategy, growth strategy, operational transformation, or implementation efforts.

- Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced, or private equity-backed environment.
