Software Engineer

Job Description This Software Engineer role focuses on developing and implementing models that analyze images, video, and graphics to support innovative product features. You will work with modern AI platforms such as JetPack and Jetson, contribute to test automation and software documentation, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities

- Design and build software models to analyze images, video, and graphics for product applications.
- Develop AI solutions using JetPack and/or Jetson platforms to support advanced product functionality.
- Create and maintain test automation and test development frameworks to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Work with Unix and Linux environments to develop, deploy, and troubleshoot software components.
- Implement and support database communications to enable efficient data exchange between systems.
- Develop software in C/C+ + with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Produce clear and thorough software documentation for designs, code, and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate status, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems.
- Provide initial time estimates and plans for assigned tasks and deliverables.
- Support integration with PLCs and related control systems as needed for product functionality.

Essential Skills

- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on development experience in C or C++.
- Practical experience working in Linux environments.
- Experience with Unix-based systems for software development and troubleshooting.
- Experience in test automation and test development for software products.
- Ability to implement and manage database communications within software applications.
- Skill in producing clear, accurate software documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering and product teams.
- Capability to estimate effort and plan work for individual assignments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Degree in Computer Science or a related in technical Engineering
- Experience with JetPack platforms for AI and embedded development is a PLUS
- Familiarity with PLCs and control systems integration.
- Interest in computer vision, image processing, or video analytics.
- Comfort working in a long-term, product-focused engineering environment.

Work Environment This role is based in an engineering office with fewer than 40 cubicles, offering a focused environment where software engineers collaborate closely on product development. You will work with modern AI and embedded technologies such as JetPack and Jetson, alongside Unix/Linux systems and databases. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
