Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to guide and oversee the Manufacturing Engineering department.

Primary Responsibilities

- Leads Manufacturing Engineering team comprised of Product, Process, Cable, and Test Engineers as well as Data Analytics & MES section
- Ensure the ME Team implements standardization being developed and rolled out by the Functional ME Team.
- Identify and execute on continuous improvement projects.
- Identify and reduce risks in the production processes.
- Support estimating with review of new opportunities.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering to maintain awareness of expected engineering changes.
- Maintain staff at skill level to support all programs.
- Oversees equipment utilization and ensures proper machine capacity plan for program execution
- Leads teams of Product & Process Mfg Engineers to determine systematic solutions for new and existing problems
- Candidate will have direct involvement with New Product Introduction (NPI) as well as improving existing product efficiencies and yields
- Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to evaluate product and process designs
- Lead equipment and other capital investment plans to meet capacity and technology requirements
- Oversee budgets for the Manufacturing Engineering team
- Monitor and develop KPI metrics
- Establish and monitor quality objectives of the production process
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or be able to obtain Secret Clearance.

Basic Qualifications

- Requires a Bachelors’ Degree in either mechanical, electrical or aerospace engineering from an accredited institution and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
- At least 6 years previous manufacturing experience, specifically with leading Manufacturing Engineers
- Previous experience with electronics manufacturing (PCBA, Cable, Electro-Mechanical)
- Experience with MES/ERP/PLM software such as Solumina, Deltek CostPoint, Windchill
- Understanding of lean manufacturing – standard flow, continuous improvement, etc.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
- Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with IPC requirements (J-STD-001, IPC-610, IPC-620)
- Experience with electronics used on launch vehicles, targets, or missile components such as PCBAs, cable harnesses, or electro-mechanical assemblies
- Experience working in a mid to high volume manufacturing environment
- Ability to provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates, Basis of Estimate (BOE) documents, and other information to support proposal efforts

## Pay Range:
Pay Range $116,350.00 - $210,325.00
