Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Attorney to join our legal team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a broad spectrum of legal areas, including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, and more. As a Junior Attorney, you will support General Counsel in case preparation, legal research, drafting documents, and client communication. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, possesses strong research and writing skills, and is passionate about developing their legal expertise in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development across various practice areas.
- Assist in drafting legal documents such as contracts, motions, pleadings, and client correspondence with accuracy and clarity.
- Support trial preparation activities, including organizing case files, preparing exhibits, and assisting with court depositions.
- Participate in client meetings by providing clear updates and gathering relevant information for case files.
- Help manage legal case files using case management software to ensure all documentation is current and organized.
- Conduct statutory legal research to ensure compliance with procedural laws and regulations across different jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on negotiations and legal advocacy efforts to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Experience

- Prior internship or work experience in a law office setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with multiple areas of law such as estate planning, employment law, personal injury law, or general & commercial litigation is advantageous.
- Strong research skills with experience.
- Excellent writing skills demonstrated through legal drafting and document preparation.
- Knowledge of procedural law gained through coursework or practical experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members in a professional manner.
- Basic understanding of legal motion preparation and case management processes.
