Mailroom Clerk – JLL
What this job involves:
Join our client-facing facilities team as a Mailroom Clerk, where you'll support essential mailroom, receiving dock, and company store operations across an assigned portfolio of buildings. In this onsite role, you will help ensure efficient mail distribution, package handling, inventory organization, and supply management while delivering exceptional customer service to clients and occupants. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations by anticipating client needs, managing shipments accurately, and keeping workspaces organized and operational in a fast-paced environment.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Sort and distribute incoming mail according to destination and type while processing outgoing mail, packages, and shipment labels using automated tracking systems.
- Coordinate outgoing shipments through USPS, UPS, and FedEx, including shipment tracking, issue resolution with carriers, and preparation of bulk mail reports.
- Receive and process incoming deliveries by verifying inventory against bills of lading and invoices, distributing documentation, and organizing stock within designated storage areas.
- Maintain the client’s company store by monitoring inventory levels, rotating products using FIFO methods, checking expiration dates, and ensuring shelves remain fully stocked and organized.
- Manage copier and printer supply inventory including toner, paper, and usage tracking while maintaining office and cleaning supply availability.
- Support facility operations by maintaining a clean and organized mailroom environment and responding promptly to client requests and operational concerns.
- Collaborate with facility management teams to identify risks, escalate issues when necessary, and deliver high-quality client service across multiple locations.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with at least two years of experience in mailroom operations, facilities support, shipping/receiving, or store management.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with the ability to travel between assigned buildings as needed.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to read, write, and follow instructions accurately for mail sorting, inventory management, and shipment processing.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally as required by operational needs.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to respond professionally to client needs and operational challenges.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, client-facing environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Basic problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
- Experience using automated mail tracking systems and shipping platforms such as USPS, UPS, and FedEx.
- Knowledge of inventory management best practices including FIFO rotation, shelf-life monitoring, and product organization standards.
- Experience supporting facility management or office operations in a corporate environment.
- Ability to maintain productivity and accuracy with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional client and team relationships.

08 Hour Day - 1st Shift/Morning Shift
This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Expected compensation for this position:
51,000.00 – 56,000.00 USD per year
Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
