About this role
We're looking for a motivated and analytical Co-op to join our Packaging Operations team, supporting continuous improvement initiatives across our packaging lines. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, data analysis, process optimization, and capital project planning within a fast-paced production environment. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Finance teams, you'll help identify equipment and process inefficiencies, develop improvement plans, and contribute to projects that drive productivity and cost savings.
This position is part of our 6-month Co-op Program, running from January 4, 2027, through June 25, 2027. The role is fully onsite at our Breinigsville Brewery location, with team members expected to work five days per week from our Breinigsville Brewery.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Performance Analysis
- Trend operational data and losses across multiple IT systems to identify areas of inefficiency and develop problem statements.
- Analyze packaging line performance and support root cause identification for operational losses.
- Monitor key manufacturing metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
Continuous Improvement & Project Support
- Develop and execute improvement plans focused on increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs during the co-op term.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of near-term and long-term improvement plans for packaging lines.
Capital Planning & Business Analysis
- Build business cases for future small-purchase capital projects.
- Evaluate potential projects by analyzing operational impact, costs, and expected savings.
- Assist with project documentation, presentations, and implementation planning.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Must continue to be enrolled in classes upon the completion of the co-op.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Interest in manufacturing operations, process improvement, and engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous co-op or internship experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior mechanical, industrial, or hands-on technical experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
