Work Schedule : Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity
This role is based in our Charlotte office on a hybrid schedule in a few days a week with some remote work.
The Director, Consumer Banking Marketing Integration is a critical leadership role within the Marketing organization, serving as the primary relationship owner and strategic liaison between Marketing and Consumer Banking businesses, including Bank and Invest.
This role fosters strong partnerships across the organization, ensures alignment between business priorities and marketing initiatives, and communicates a cohesive, compelling narrative about marketing’s contribution to business performance. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, the Director connects teams across business, marketing, design, analytics, technology, and product to drive clarity, coordination, and execution.
The ideal candidate brings financial services experience, strong marketing knowledge, analytical rigor, and executive communication skills. They are an exceptional relationship builder who can navigate a complex and evolving landscape, synthesize diverse perspectives, and translate priorities and performance into actionable insights and compelling executive-level storytelling.


The Work Itself
The Director, Consumer Banking Marketing Partnerships plays a pivotal role in connecting Marketing and Consumer Banking leadership. This individual helps ensure that priorities are aligned, stakeholders are engaged, and marketing’s value is clearly understood across the organization. By bringing together diverse teams, leveraging data-driven insights, and translating complex initiatives into compelling business narratives, this leader enables stronger decision-making, deeper collaboration, and improved business outcomes.
Business Partnership & Strategic Alignment
- Serve as the primary marketing relationship owner for Consumer Banking businesses, including Bank and Invest.
- Build trusted partnerships with senior business leaders to understand priorities, growth objectives, customer needs, and key initiatives.
- Ensure marketing activities remain aligned to business goals and that stakeholders have visibility into priorities, progress, risks, and results.
- Partner across Marketing to translate business needs into actionable briefs, initiatives, and communications.
- Act as the connective tissue across business, marketing, analytics, technology, product, and design teams to support alignment and successful execution.
- Champion a cohesive and compelling narrative regarding marketing initiatives, investments, outcomes, and business impact.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams across Marketing, Business, Technology, Analytics, Product, Operations, and Design.
- Facilitate collaboration, prioritization, and decision-making across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Build alignment among teams operating within a highly matrixed environment while balancing competing priorities.
- Drive clarity and accountability by connecting stakeholders to shared objectives and business outcomes.
- Foster strong working relationships that enable efficient execution and problem-solving across functions.
Performance Reporting & Executive Communications
- Own the development of executive-level narratives that articulate marketing’s contribution to Consumer Banking objectives.
- Partner closely with analytics and marketing teams to synthesize complex data into clear business insights and recommendations.
- Lead recurring business reviews, presentations, scorecards, and executive updates that communicate performance, opportunities, risks, and key learnings.
- Ensure senior leaders have consistent visibility into major marketing initiatives, investments, outcomes, and future priorities.
Leadership & Team Development
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centric thinking.
- Establish clear goals and expectations while supporting professional growth and leadership development.
- Promote strong partnership and communication across teams and organizational boundaries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing, financial services, consumer banking, investing, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success building partnerships with senior business leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within a matrixed organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business insights and recommendations.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and storytelling capabilities.
- Experience in banking, deposits, checking, savings, wealth management, brokerage, investing, or related financial services businesses.
- Strong foundation in marketing principles, customer engagement, brand management, integrated marketing, and performance measurement.
- Demonstrated understanding of the complex and evolving financial services and marketing landscape, including changing consumer behaviors, competitive dynamics, digital experiences, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
- Experience operating within complex, highly matrixed organizations where success requires influence, collaboration, and cross-functional leadership.
- Ability to translate business objectives, market dynamics, and customer insights into compelling narratives and executive-level recommendations.
- Experience communicating performance, opportunities, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership teams.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.

## Minimum Qualifications
- 9+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High school Diploma or GED equivalent

Base Pay Range
$125,000.00 - $190,000.00

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.


Incentive Compensation:
This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
