Entry-Level Accountant

About the Role

Reporting to Senior Accounting Manager, the Entry-Level Accountant will perform a variety of general accounting duties. The focus of this position will be daily bank reconciliation, journal entries, G/L account analysis and reconciliation, and maintain various schedules for month end closing. The Entry-Level Accountant is required to get the job done in a timely manner, ensuring meet all deadline. In addition, the Entry-Level Accountant is responsible for maintaining accounting records in an orderly manner.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

- Perform daily bank reconciliation
- Maintain various schedules for month end closing
- Prepare and enter adjusting journal entries, prepaid and accrual as needed
- Be responsible for GL account reconciliation and analysis for subsidiary companies
- Reconcile internal subsidiary financials with outside accounting firm
- Assist outside accounting firm with reconciliation, work papers as needed
- Maintain various accounting records for the interim and the year end audit
- Support to staff and other employees in invoices coding, ensure proper GL coding
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Detailed oriented and organized
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skill
- Ability to work in a confidential manner due to access to sensitive information
- Knowledge of SAP preferred

Competencies

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
