Dining Artist - Server (Part-Time)

In this front-of-house role, you will provide thoughtful tableside service, manage multiple tables, accurately record resident orders, and help maintain welcoming, clean, and well-organized dining spaces. What Youll Do

As a Dining Artist - Server, you will:

- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient tableside service to assisted living residents and their guests

- Manage multiple tables, remember resident preferences and orders, and accurately enter selections into the POS system

- Learn daily specials, soups, catering events, and other service information, then communicate details clearly to residents, guests, and staff

- Anticipate resident needs and offer thoughtful assistance with beverages, condiments, salads, desserts, and other food and beverage items

- Assist with food and beverage preparation, including coffee, tea, desserts, sauces, sides, and other assigned items

- Set up, maintain, and break down dining venues, service stations, and designated kitchen areas

- Deliver and retrieve resident meal trays

- Maintain clean, sanitary, organized, and welcoming dining spaces

- Follow food safety, sanitation, food-handling, and cross-contamination prevention procedures

- Support catering, special events, and other Dining Arts department needs

- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service and quality throughout the dining experience

What Were Looking For

Successful candidates will:

- Enjoy working with people and building relationships with residents

- Be dependable and committed to excellent attendance and year-round resident dining coverage

- Have strong customer service, verbal communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

- Be comfortable working in a detailed, fast-paced service environment with frequent interruptions

- Be able to learn menus, resident preferences, ordering processes, and POS procedures

- Be detail oriented and able to perform duties accurately

- Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to learn

- Be able to work harmoniously with residents, guests, and coworkers

Preferred Experience

We welcome candidates from a variety of service backgrounds, including:

- Assisted living or senior living dining

- Dietary aide or healthcare food service

- Full-service restaurants or hospitality

- Fast food or another fast-paced customer service environment

- Restaurant or food-service ordering and POS systems

- Bilingual is a plus, but not required

The work is teachable, and the POS process can be learned. Candidates who bring reliability, a strong service mindset, and the ability to learn quickly are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

This is a part-time position

Typical Schedule:

- Primary shifts are 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

- Weekend Availability is required

- Holidays are required as scheduled

Arbor Acres operates 365 days a year , and team members are expected to be dependable and committed to supporting resident dining services year-round.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

- Ability to frequently squat, kneel, bend, stoop, reach, and lift

- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

- Ability to push food carts weighing more than 100 pounds

- Ability to work safely in a busy dining and kitchen environment that may be noisy, hot, humid, or cold

- Ability to work around detergents and cleaning chemicals
