Software Systems Integration Engineer

MTSI is seeking a Software Systems Integration Engineer Senior . Our customer is standing up a full digital enterprise (DE) architecture to leverage vendor and enterprise MBSE and DE capabilities. This position is part of the team that will plan, develop, initiate/stand-up, and sustain these architectures and capabilities. This position provides technical leadership in the design, integration, and delivery of complex software systems supporting these advanced digital infrastructure efforts. This role focuses on enabling modern, cloud-based software environments and DevSecOps pipelines to support development. integrations, and delivery across the customer's portfolio in highly secure environments.
Responsibilities: • Act as primary technical bridge between contractor code and target embedded systems • Managed software integration interfaces, reviews/enforces interface control documents, and ensure contractor application programming interfaces and container formats align with program standards prior to test and execution • Troubleshoot system-level anomalies and hardware/software interface issues remotely in coordination with third-party hardware-in-the-loop facility operators • Perform technical and mission analyses of existing and future operational requirements to support programs and projects. • Assist in developing subsystem concepts and perform technological/trade-off assessment of proposed designs/modifications. • Support assessment of related AFRL technology initiatives to guide investments and shape transition strategies to keep a viable technology base available to support systems development. • Provide technical and programmatic feedback and advice, develop, and present technical briefings, and develop acquisition products and strategies in support of WAG activities. • Provide support for risk management and configuration control processes. • Employ the software configuration management process and certification. • Support the overall system design baseline’s architecture and interoperability requirements. • Translate user requirements into system requirements, which is used to design, develop, test, and evaluate software for systems, subsystems, and equipment. • Manage software design, integration, configuration, test/evaluation, and certification across customer's portfolio and DE environment. • Assess and audit DoD contractors for software configuration and control measures adequacy and verify appropriate quality accreditation. • Ensure contractor software and updates meet Air Force requirements and industry standards of International Organization for Standards (ISO) 9000/9002 and Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI). • Demonstrate experience in engineering development and sustainment processes; define new processes and process improvement for existing processes. • Clearly communicate with and/or brief a small group of military, contract, and civilian personnel.
Qualifications: • Possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD) work experience • Have no less than three (3) years’ experience in a Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment within the last eight (8) years • Possess a Master of Arts/Master of Science/Master of Engineering MA/MS/ME degree (Years of experience may be considered in lieu of a master’s degree). • Experience and degree requirements must be in a field relevant to the functional area
Clearance Requirements : ●       Must possess an active DoD Top Secret (TS) security clearance with ability to obtain SCI ●       U.S. Citizenship is required for this position, due to contract requirements.
