Overview
We're looking for a strong operational leader to oversee and elevate our Electrical & Generator team throughout the Chicagoland area. If you have experience leading electricians, generator technicians, or other skilled trades professionals while driving performance, accountability, and operational excellence, this is your opportunity to make a major impact.
As the Home Services Manager, Electrical & Generator, you'll own the day-to-day service and installation operations, ensuring our electrical and generator teams are productive, supported, and delivering exceptional work. You'll drive scheduling efficiency, technician performance, safety, and operational excellence to position the business for continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Electrical & Generator team to achieve performance goals and deliver high-quality service.
- Own daily operations, set priorities, remove roadblocks, and lead with clarity and purpose.
- Analyze KPIs and implement strategies to improve team performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
- Partner with leadership and sales teams to align operational execution with business growth objectives.
- Ensure job quality, material usage, safety standards, and timelines meet customer and business expectations.
- Promote and enforce safety, compliance, and quality standards across all job sites.
- Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, and development efforts to build a high-performing team.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of leadership experience within electrical, generator, home services, or skilled trades environments.
- Experience leading teams of electricians, generator technicians, or other field service professionals.
- Strong ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable to performance expectations.
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Balance of people leadership and process improvement skills.
- Clear communicator with strong planning and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience with field service management tools such as ServiceTitan is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site as a hands-on leader supporting teams throughout the Chicagoland area.
