Job Description:

Are you a strategic supply chain leader ready to shape the future of aerospace operations? Airbus Helicopters, Inc. is seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain Efficiency to direct end-to-end (E2E) supply chain performance, strategic transformation, and operational resilience based in the Grand Prairie / Grapevine, TX area.

The team's mission is to acquire indirect goods and services for Airbus commercial aircraft and helicopters, playing a major role in generating value and contributing to the overall competitiveness of the company. Your Challenges:

Organizational Leadership & People Development:      20%

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing organization of managers and expert individual contributors across multiple supply chain disciplines (Lean, Data Analytics, Planning, and Resilience).
- Drive team engagement and foster a culture of continuous learning, psychological safety, accountability, and high performance.
- Design organizational structures, define capability roadmaps, and execute succession plans to ensure long-term talent retention within the E2E Supply Chain function.
- Provide final review and approval of salary increases, promotions, and bonuses for the Supply Chain Efficiency team members.
- Establish performance goals (KPIs) for direct reports and conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and career pathing .

Data Analytics, Governance & Performance Management:      20%

- Lead all E2E Supply Chain data analytics, forward focus performance management, and governance by directing and developing a group of Data Analytics and Performance Management experts.
- Integrate digital means and BI tools to ensure business performance targets are met and actions are followed appropriately.
- Define and execute cost & cash-related competitiveness projects contributing to the achievement of AHI and AH financial objectives in terms of profitability and cash flow.
- Define cost-saving measurement processes and set up tools that allow for proper financial quantification.

E2E S&OP, Financial Planning & Inventory Health Oversight:      20%

- Direct the Sales & Operations Plan (S&OP) for Supply Chain, managing critical inputs and outputs encompassing inventory health, supplier capacity, logistics capacity, and workforce planning.
- Lead the regional Supply Chain Operating Plan (OP) cross-functionally and orchestrate quarterly financial forecast updates to ensure alignment with corporate profitability goals.
- Direct the Forecast, Planning and Inventory Health team to unify demand signals, resolve supply constraints, and drive inventory optimization.
- Ensure optimal product availability while maximizing capital efficiency and minimizing excess inventory risk.
- Responsible for reviewing and approving Forecasting, Stocking Policy, Planning & Inventory processes.

E2E Supply Chain Process Optimization & Lean Integration:      15%

- Direct and develop a group of Lean Experts that champion and collaborate with the respective functions on lean principles to eliminate silos and optimize integrated processes across all supply chain functions, including Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Material Fulfillment.
- Drive Supply Chain competitiveness by directing a continuous improvement approach cross-functionally within the E2E Supply Chain.
- Review and make processes and training recommendations for approval within the E2E Supply Chain scope.

Global Stakeholder Management & Strategic Transformation :      15%

- Manage key stakeholders at the Director, VP, and Executive levels across the region and at Headquarters (specifically within Support & Services, Operations, and Finance) to ensure strategic alignment on all Supply Chain activities.
- Facilitates the cross-functional development and oversees the execution of the strategic Supply Chain roadmap through embedded project management deployment.
- Direct change initiatives that drive continuous improvement and supply chain capability maturity, ensuring the Supply Chain vision is well understood and heavily supported by cross-functional executives.

Supply Chain Resilience & Risk Management:      5%

- Oversee the Resilience Manager responsible for risk and opportunity management, business continuity planning, compliance, insurance claims, and crisis management to ensure a highly resilient supply chain network.
- In collaboration with function heads, define and organize risk and opportunity action plans.
- Responsible for the Supply Chain risk and opportunity quarterly report, presenting findings directly to the executive level.

Other duties as assigned:       5%

- Support enterprise-wide executive initiatives, cross-functional ad-hoc projects, and ongoing professional development of the broader supply chain organization.

Qualified Experience and Training:

Required

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field. or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management (covering planning, procurement, and logistics) within multi-divisional international services organizations, with at least 5 years in a leadership/management role.
- Demonstrated experience driving Lean transformations and implementing E2E process improvements
- Deep understanding of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), inventory optimization, data analytics expertise, and E2E supply chain dependencies. Strong financial acumen regarding capital efficiency and working capital. Demonstrated capability in crisis management, risk mitigation, and leading cross-functional teams
- High proficiency in leading Tier-1 ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and foundational data analytics/BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Skywise).
- Advanced supply chain planning systems (e.g., Kinaxis RapidResponse, SAP IBP, O9 Solutions).

Preferred Education/Skills:

- Master’s degree or MBA with a focus on Supply Chain, Operations, or Data Analytics.
- Previous experience at a Director level. Proven track record of leading digital supply chain transformations, lean process improvements and managing complex business continuity events.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt.
- Advanced knowledge of supply chain digital twins, AI/ML forecasting models, and complex corporate insurance and compliance frameworks.

Travel Required:

- 10 to 20% Domestic and International

Citizenship:

- Authorized to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship

- Onsite or remote:  100% Onsite, between Grand Prairie and Grapevine, TX, except when on travel
- Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings daily.
- Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds  including safety warnings or alarms daily
- Speaking:  able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications daily.
- Equipment Operation: able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment daily.
- Carrying: able to carry documents, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs daily
- Lifting:  able to lift documents, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs daily
- Pushing / Pulling:  able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment rarely
- Sitting:  able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer daily
- Squatting / Kneeling:  able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving rarely
- Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor daily
- Travel:  able to travel independently and at short notice occasionally
- Walking:  able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces daily
- PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
