Purpose :
We are seeking a Junior to Intermediate CAD Designer with Civil 3D experience to join our Ports and Marine Terminals team in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this role, you will work with project managers and engineers to provide CAD design and drafting support for civil and marine infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities :
- Provide CAD services to support civil infrastructure projects in collaboration with project managers and engineers.
- Complete design and drafting assignments as directed by internal team members.
- Prepare site plans, cross-sections, orthophotos, base plans and presentation drawings.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings for marine infrastructure and related civil works, including roads, foundations, general structures and earthworks, in accordance with company and client standards.
- Apply established project setup and drawing workflow practices.
- Produce coordinated drawing sets and packages.
- Set up, maintain and organize digital drawing files.
- Create and edit digital terrain model surfaces.
- Prepare material quantity and volume estimates, including cut and fill and concrete quantities.
- Work effectively in a multidisciplinary project environment.
What you will bring
Technical and Industry Experience:
- Proficiency with AutoCAD is required.
- Experience with Civil 3D is an asset.
- Experience producing drawings for marine structures or marine infrastructure is an asset.
- Familiarity with civil design, drafting standards, digital terrain models and drawing package production.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication, organization and time management skills.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
- Related technical diploma and/or certificate in civil engineering technology, CAD design, drafting or a related discipline.
Preferred :
- Civil 3D experience.
- Previous experience supporting marine, ports, terminals or other civil infrastructure projects.
For applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is $76,610.00 to $103,648.00 CAD.
