The Quality Technician will test and inspect products for finished goods received at the distribution center and compiles results to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Records data, certificates, or inspection plans applying quality control procedures.

- Enters results into computer systems, supplies quality systems.

- Evaluates results to release finished goods or indicate non-conformance from existing standards.

- Review revised SOP’s, Specs and PCO’s (related documents)

- Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests, inspections on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life or material characteristics.

- Completes special projects and work requests.

- Documents complaint information and investigates complaint information.

- Routinely performs 5S activities in the quality area(s) ensuring efficiently organized and cleaned.

- Follows QA processes with minimal direction

- Ability to read, understand and follow standard operating procedures and other policies and procedures.

- Can generate SCARs, if needed, and issues to suppliers, enters information into database.

- Work under minimal supervision.

- Other duties as assigned.

Background:

Education:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) in a technical discipline, preferably within a life sciences field, strongly preferred.

- An equivalent combination of education and experience in domestic and international regulatory submissions, design control systems, and/or regulatory compliance will be considered.

- 2-3 years related experience in science or math

Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, metric measurement and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
