Position Summary
The Field Quality Technician provides direct, on-site oversight to ensure that infra work is performed safely and correctly. This role is responsible for inspecting the work of both internal employees and contractors to make sure they are following SOPs and safety protocols. By conducting audits, performing job walks, and reporting issues immediately, the Technician acts as the final check to prevent mistakes. Their primary focus is to catch errors in the field before they lead to equipment failure or safety incident
Role and Responsibilities
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Ability to anticipate, identify and evaluate hazardous behaviors, conditions and practices.
- Supervise contractor work activities from quality perspective.
- Develop quality control methods, procedures and programs.
- Implement, administer and advise others on hazard control & quality control programs.
- Evaluation of regulatory compliance associated with safety & quality programs/policies.
- Create inspection reports and provide improvement recommendations
- Facilitate and present quality focus topics to program stakeholders.
- Conduct quality awareness workshops for field technicians
Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
- Certification, license, Associates degree or military experience in - HVAC, Mechanical, Chemical, I&C (Instrumentation and Controls), Electrical, Plumbing, Gas Fitting, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Facilities Maintenance Technology, Microelectronics, Renewable Energy Technology, Water and Environmental Technology, Water / Purification, Industrial Process Operator, or related technical or STEM field.
- 2+ year experience in industrial operations and maintenance.
The current base salary range for this role is between $26.00 - $33.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
