Project Manager, Government and Collaboration Programs, and Academic Partnerships

The Government and Collaborations Programs, and Academic Partnerships team is at the heart of this environment, interfacing with internal stakeholders, such as Engineering, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Communications, and playing a leading role in enabling company innovation and business objectives through access to financial ressources and the structuring of partnerships with external stakeholders. The team manages fiscal measures and government programs in support of R&D, and a global portfolio of collaborative research and development projects, and work-integrated learning initiatives.

Description
As a Project Manager in the Government and Collaborations Programs, and Academic Partnerships team, you will work closely with the project managers that make up the team and contributors from multiple departments on a wide range of tasks such as:

- Support the management of multiple, complex innovation-driven collaboration programs on quarterly and annual basis from scoping to technological eligibility analysis, financial forecasting, claim preparation, and audits

- Analyze trends, forecasts and statistics relating to the R&D portfolio from a financial and technical perspective. Consolidate and synthetize findings into reports to be presented to various management levels. Maintain up to date financial and progress KPIs and associated dashboards
- Support continuous enhancement of tools and processes, and support portfolio governance
- Support and participate in program reviews, negotiations, and audits with internal and external stakeholders, both governmental and non-governmental organizations
- Participate in the preparation of business cases for opportunities aligned with CAE’s growth strategies
- Support the management of innovation-driven collaboration events, sponsorships, bursaries, and initiatives in support of CAE’s interaction/commitment with post-secondary institutions

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, management, finance, law or related domains

- Experience in data analysis, including working with large volumes of structured and unstructured datasets
- Strong analytical skills and ability to abstract and summarize
- Scientific curiosity and interest in cutting-edge technological developments, paired with interest in financial data analysis

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in proposals and management of fiscal measures and government programs (e.g. SR&ED, Multimedia Tax Credits, NSERC, MITACS, International Programs, and others)
- Strong familiarity with ERP and MRP systems, as well as financial platforms (including Oracle), complemented by experience with business intelligence tools and dashboard development (e.g., Power BI)
- Strong familiarity with Excel
- Work experience in a technology sector or in consulting

- Multitasking and ability to manage initiatives of different sizes
- Excellent communication and writing skills. Bilingual (French and English)
