POSITION TITLE : Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Registered Nurse)

POSITION DUTIES :

Provide direct patient care, with responsibility for nursing assessment and diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, performing the primary responsibilities of the Registered Nurse role. Educate patients/families on chemotherapy, central lines, injections, and home care. Provide indirect patient care including supportive care referrals, required paperwork, coordination of outside clinical care, ensuring continuity of care with outside providers, and collaborating with research team on patients for trials. Attend regular team meetings with provider and nursing teams. Coordinate care with ancillary services. Delegate tasks to appropriate team members. Coordinate patient schedules with clinic team. Collaborate with infusion RN and other members of the care team. Manage and escalate issues in clinic. Document all nursing care activities. Adhere to patient privacy rights. Participate in continuing education, departmental projects, committee work, and quality improvement initiatives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

- Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing, or the foreign degree equivalent;

- Current Washington State RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required; MSL must be obtained and Washington State designated as the primary state of residence within 60 days of hire if not held at the time of hire.

- Current BLS AHA Health Provider Card or equivalent course.

LOCATION OF EMPLOYMENT : Full Time (38.5 hours per week) at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center

1354 Aloha Street, Seattle, Washington.

RATE OF PAY : The pay range for this position is from $57.29 to $88.19 per hour and the pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
