Parsons is seeking a Full Stack Engineer with QA Focus who has strong frontend and UX skills, combined with a passion for software testing, quality assurance, and systems evaluation. This is a hybrid role that balances active frontend development with significant responsibility for testing our application, identifying bugs, evaluating system behavior (especially with containers), and improving overall software quality. The ideal candidate is a strong React/CesiumJS developer who also thinks like a tester and cares deeply about user experience. Our stack includes React , CesiumJS , Node.js , PostgreSQL , and Apache running on Windows , with increasing use of Docker containers. In this role you will get to support a high visibility Navy Program.

What You’ll be Doing:

- Provide regular updates to team members and stakeholders, fostering transparency and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, intuitive user interfaces using React and CesiumJS with strong attention to UX/UI best practices
- Perform in-depth manual, exploratory, and regression testing to identify bugs and usability issues
- Evaluate how Docker containers and different system configurations impact application performance, stability, and behavior
- Test interactions between the frontend (React + CesiumJS), backend (Node.js), database (PostgreSQL), and the Windows/Apache environment
- Design and implement practical testing processes and documentation to raise the team’s quality standards
- Conduct system-level evaluation and performance testing of 3D geospatial web applications
- Collaborate with the team to improve code quality, user experience, and overall reliability
- Document defects clearly and work with developers to resolve them

Required Qualifications:

- Must have a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in web application development with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical discipline (additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative/distributed team environment
- Strong React skills and modern JavaScript/TypeScript expertise
- Significant experience with CesiumJS (or similar 3D geospatial visualization libraries)
- Demonstrated User Experience (UX) skills – ability to design and implement clean, intuitive, and responsive interfaces
- Strong background in software testing, QA, and systems evaluation
- Experience testing containerized applications (Docker) and understanding container-to-system interactions
- CompTIA Security+ (SY0-601 or SY0-701) certification – required
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Node.js
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and documentation skills

Desired Qualifications:

- Familiarity with agile development principles and practices (SAFe, JIRA)
- Experience improving testing practices in teams that previously had minimal formal testing
- Knowledge of Apache HTTP Server on Windows environments
- Familiarity with geospatial data and 3D web applications
- Experience with performance testing tools
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- TypeScript experience
- An active TS/SCI is preferred
- Experience supporting Navy programs, NAVWAR, NIWC Pacific, NIWC Atlantic

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
